We are pleased to announce that on the occasion of AMR Awareness Week 2024, PhageEU in collaboration with MEP Tiemo Wölken (Member of the SANT and ENVI Committees), is hosting a high-level debate at the European Parliament focusing on bacteriophage therapy as a promising solution to combat antimicrobial resistance.

This comprehensive debate will feature distinguished speakers from across the bacteriophage research and regulatory landscape, including:
- Representatives from the phage research community discussing applications in human health, veterinary medicine, and food safety
- Officials from the European Commission
- Representatives from the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA)
- Delegates from the European Medicines Agency (EMA)
The program will include expert presentations followed by an engaging panel discussion and audience Q&A session.
