The PhageEU coalition has gone from strength to strength this year, growing our profile, EU-level recognition and membership. In the first half of 2026, we deepened our engagement with EU institutions and stakeholders, and played an active role in policy discussions, advocacy and awareness-raising to help unlock the full potential of phage technologies.
We welcomed one new corporate member and three new scientific members, and proudly joined the European Food Safety Authority’s (EFSA) Stakeholders’ Community on Food and Feed Applications recognition of PhageEU’s expertise and the growing role phages can play in tackling Europe’s key challenges.
